Mailman takes fall

 

Our client was a postal carrier and was in the course of his employment at the time of this incident.  He was delivering mail in Portland.  When he  walked onto the porch and his right leg went through one of the floor boards and hHe fell through the porch up to about his mid thigh area.  His feet did not touch the ground when he fell through.  One board had been fixed prior to this incident.  He had been delivering mail to this address for the previous two years. 

He suffered a right knee hematoma, soft tissue damage and fluid thoughout his lower leg.  There was severe discoloration on his leg due to buildup of blood.

            The case resulted in an excellent settlement for the client.
